During the first gameplay reveal in Los Angeles yesterday , Bungie executives took the stage to outline the substantial quality of life improvements the sequel will introduce to make this happen. From removing the need to load in and out of one area for different activities to letting players more easily group up with strangers, Bungie is going to great lengths to paint its new installment as a more thoughtful, well-meaning, and accessible video game.
On top of the grind of daily play and the ever-increasing amount of items to collect, Destiny was hobbled by befuddling design choices and maddening technical constraints. Players complained endlessly about not having enough space for all their gear and weapons, the lack of narrative and cinematic direction, and an almost Kafkaesque progression system.
Strikes and Crucible Maps will be less likely to repeat themselves when you stay in a matchmaking playlist with your Fireteam. Grimoire Cards will drop when you expect them to. There’s still no official release date for the Destiny patch.
TacosAnon no its not. You wanna keep playing an online only game then buy the dlc in my opinion. It’s not like anyone is paying monthly for content. But us people that paid for the content should be able to have it available in our weekly rotation. If you want to do the weekly then get the dlc this week. If not you can play the weekly when it resets I quoted the wrong post. They did take functionality away from non dlc users. They could have created a separate rotation for them.

Most of us play for fun and relaxation as an escape from the stress of work and everyday life. Sure, a game can and should be challenging, but when it is no longer fun to play, your favorite game can suddenly start to feel like an unpleasant, unpaid second job. That, in a nutshell, is the problem with Destiny 2. The developers at Bungie should have created a game that was rewarding and fun to play, but instead Destiny 2 now has a loot and progression system that punishes all but the most elite players, which sucks the life and fun out of playing the game.
Currently, the game has a player level cap of 30 and a power level cap of with mods. The player level determines when you are able to do certain activities, and the power level determines how much damage you will dish out to enemies and receive from those enemies. Once you reach level 30, the player level becomes essentially meaningless, and the power level is everything.

Tweet on Twitter It seems that regardless of player feedback, Bungie really wants you to play Destiny the way they want you to play. I feel like any time there’s something players figure out or do in the game, that was originally unintended by Bungie, they patch it to their liking. And then, if there’s something players really want, they simply ignore it. I know this is a blanket statement, and it’s probably a little exaggerated as past patches have done good for the game, but I honestly believe players are getting fed up with some of the changes Bungie implements.

During that battle, you actually fight alongside Commander Zavala, the Titan Vanguard — these well-known leaders are no longer just retired combatants serving as quest givers in the Tower.
