What’s New?

This Myers-Briggs personality is described as being extraverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceiving. The ENTP has an impulsive nature and will typically seek a partner with whom they can explore new possibilities and achieve personal growth. This type of persona finds a great deal of happiness in trying to improve the relationship and in finding ways to keep the connection from turning stagnant. This individual pays a great deal of attention to the situations and people around them and will gain a very quick and accurate idea about what is going on. These individuals tend to excel in academics, politics, and business. Although generally laid-back in nature, easy to talk to, and often possessed of a great sense of humor, ENTP characters can also come off as argumentative. This persona loves the thrill of engaging in a debate and may or may not be concerned about the topic being discussed. In most cases, however, this type of individual will have fairly good knowledge and interest in the topic. For some, especially those who are a little less mature than they could be, the desire to engage in a thrilling debate or argument could be so compelling that they will continuously push through the debate even if they do not care for or even support their own side of the argument.

For an ESFJ, relationships bring on a highly desired opportunity to please and satisfy someone they genuinely care about. This Myers-Briggs personality is classified by these four traits: The ESFJ derives the majority of their pleasure and happiness by caring for, nurturing, and pleasing the people around them. In a relationship, this personality will be most happy if allowed to take on a service-like role that enables them to anticipate and provide for the needs of a partner. This type of individual is a typical extravert because they like to live life based on what is going on around them.

Intuition as a whole is a process that collects and categorizes situations, thoughts and ideas. It’s reflective when we’re alone and silent, and hyperactive when we’re out in the world.

As soon as I was able to use it to explain my weirdness, I wanted the rest of my family to type themselves, including my husband. Of course these are generalizations, something personality theory as a whole is subject to. I think it was this that got my attention when I met my husband: I had never met someone so much like me, but with more confidence. He was in a previous relationship with someone who enjoyed socializing regularly, and he describes this as a source of constant struggle between them.

He wanted to stay home most of the time, so she accused him of being boring. From my perspective, this is a win-win. I get the encouragement I need to socialize, even if from another introvert, and he gets to feel less hermit-y and boring compared to me. Anything I can think up, he can execute. But to say he is all implementation and no creative input would be inaccurate as well as an underestimation — he thinks about a project and studies it, then is able to recreate it in a drawing on paper.

At least in my experience, these two types are well-matched in strength of will, self-reliance, intellect, and intuition though the INFJ probably has it there. These similarities must come at a price, I suppose, and it is this:

This makes ESTJs quick to express their ideas, usually in the form of judgements and measurable goals. Gondor needs no king. Aragorn may be an exception.

Like ESTJs, this makes them interested in preserving old ways of doing things and resistant to change.

The Most Interesting Qualities of Each Myers Briggs Type

A lot of shit has been going on these past few years. I’m 16,5 Things seem to My NTP scores were very high

Extraverted feeling, the auxiliary deciding function, expresses a range of emotion and opinions of, for and about people. INFJs, like many other FJ types, find themselves caught between the desire to express their wealth of feelings and moral conclusions about the actions and attitudes of others, and the awareness of the consequences of unbridled candor.

Curiosity has its own reason for existing. They often have their head in the clouds. Love their sense of humor, though. Depends on how mature they are. Immature, undeveloped ENTPs can be a pain in the ass. Demiurgic and always full of incandescent ideas. However, talks loquaciously and sometimes, malarkey. Never finishes a project. Awfully disheveled irl and maybe inside their minds too? I AM dating one.

INFJ Love: Inside The Rarest Personality

According to the Myers-Briggs profile, the INTJ personality is comprised of introverted, intuitive, thinking, and judging traits. A relationship with this quiet but self-sure individual can be very enlightening to the participants as a couple as well as on an individual level. Even if an INTJ relationship does not work out, both individuals usually walk away having benefited from the experience. This individual gathers information and then processes the data in a manner that is more abstract than fact-based.

If Thinking can desist, the INTP is free to brainstorm, calling up the perceptions of the unconscious (i.e., intuition) which are mirrored in patterns in the realm of matter, time and space. These perceptions, in the form of theories or hunches, must ultimately defer to the .

INTJs are supposed to be the rarest of the types. Extremely intelligent and dryly funny, INTJs are probably the type I most admire for their intellectual capacity and ability to analyse just about anything. Rather, they do have feelings, but keep them in check with Te extraverted Thinking when attempting to understand them. It is also for this reason that many believe they are never wrong, which can come across as arrogant and insensitive to others.

On the contrary, they are often very compassionate individuals who care about the genuine suffering of others. Before I was aware of the fact that he was an INTJ, I used to wonder why he would talk to me so much, yet lack an emotional reaction to my misfortunes. After knowing him for a longer time, I realised that the lack of emotional reaction did not mean he could not empathise or sympathise.

It simply meant that instead of having an emotional reaction, he would attempt to help me resolve my problems in a practical, effective way. He also made the effort to dress up on those occasions as opposed to donning casual clothes during our primary school group outings yes, we were from the same primary school.

When we go out, we usually talk for hours on end about all kinds of things, from philosophy to family to movies. Our talks usually last about hours during and after lunch. One time we were talking about relationships, and Y mentioned he was a little down that he had never had a relationship before in all 20 years of his life. I consoled him a little and said that it would happen with the right person at the right time, and asked if he had anyone in mind at the moment.

But I do have a curious nature. I recognize my stodgy bent and try to poke at the edges. Right now I am reading ‘The Pleasure of Finding Things Out’ which is a collection of short pieces and speeches by Feynman, the great physicist. For example, he and his other scientist friends were told to book their train tickets to NMexico in New York, because too many scientists with tickets all from the Princeton train station would tip off suspicion of their secret project.

Feynman buys his ticket in Princeton because hey.. Also, their mail was censored and he enjoyed playing with the censors.

The MBTI preferences indicate the differences in people based on the following: This underlying personality pattern results from the dynamic interaction of their four preferences, in conjunction with environmental influences and their own individual tendencies. People are likely to develop behaviors, skills, and attitudes based on their particular type.

Each personality type has its own potential strengths as well as areas that offer opportunities for growth. The MBTI tool consists of multiple choice questions that sort respondents on the basis of the four “dichotomies” pairs of psychological opposites. Sixteen different outcomes are possible, each identified by its own four-letter code, referred to by initial letters.

N is used for iNtuition, since I is used for Introversion. INTPs tend to be quiet and reserved. They generally prefer interacting with a few close friends rather than a wide circle of acquaintances, and they expend energy in social situations whereas extraverts gain energy. INTPs tend to be more abstract than concrete.

They may venture so deeply into thought as to seem detached, and often actually are oblivious to the world around them. Precise about their descriptions, INTPs will often correct others or be sorely tempted to if the shade of meaning is a bit off. While annoying to the less concise, this fine discrimination ability gives INTPs so inclined a natural advantage as, for example, grammarians and linguists.

INTPs are relatively easy-going and amenable to almost anything until their principles are violated, about which they may become outspoken and inflexible. They prefer to return, however, to a reserved albeit benign ambiance, not wishing to make spectacles of themselves. A major concern for INTPs is the haunting sense of impending failure.

They spend considerable time second-guessing themselves. The open-endedness from Perceiving conjoined with the need for competence NT is expressed in a sense that one’s conclusion may well be met by an equally plausible alternative solution, and that, after all, one may very well have overlooked some critical bit of data.
